New Patients

Starting chiropractic care doesn’t have to feel overwhelming. From your first visit, we take the time to listen, answer your questions, and help you feel comfortable and confident in your care.

What to Expect: Your First Visits

We believe great care begins with understanding. Your first visits are designed to help us fully understand your health concerns, evaluate how your spine and nervous system are functioning, and clearly explain how we may be able to help, so you can make confident, informed decisions about your care.

Here’s what the process looks like:

Step 1: Schedule Your Appointment: You can schedule your visit by calling us at (519) 881-3443 or booking online. Our front desk team will help you find an appointment time that fits your schedule, with availability throughout the day to accommodate busy lives.

Step 2: Complete Your Intake Forms. Before your visit, we’ll send you a short health history form to complete. This gives Dr. Glenn and Dr. Adam a better understanding of your concerns, background, and what you’re hoping to get out of care.

Step 3: Consultation & Assessment (60 minutes).

Day 1: First We Listen.
Your first visit is focused on understanding you and everything that has led to your current health condition. This appointment typically includes:

  • Health History: Before your visit, you’ll complete a health history form. During your appointment, our team will review your history in detail, discussing past injuries, stressors, and lifestyle factors that may be impacting your spine and nervous system.
  • Chiropractic Examination: Next, we will perform a detailed analysis of your structure using advanced PostureScreen software, and the doctor's experienced eye. Then, we evaluate your spine using palpation and conduct any other tests to determine the correct diagnosis.
  • ChiroSight Digital X-rays: If needed, x-rays will be taken to see the structure and condition of your spine. We want to accurately diagnose the cause of your health problems and determine the best course of correction for your spine. If additional assessment is needed, we’ll talk through next steps and schedule follow-up care accordingly.

Step 4: Doctor's Report (90-120 Minutes)

Day 2:
At your second visit, you will attend your Doctor’s Report to gain a deeper understanding of your condition and the foundation for healing.

You’ll begin in a small group setting where the doctor explains what structural chiropractic is, how the body heals, and the evidence supporting the specialized work we do. We believe there is tremendous power in understanding how your body works and the role chiropractic plays in restoring function.

After the group session, we will meet with you privately to review your examination findings, posture analysis, and any x-ray images that were taken. You will receive a clear explanation of your results, including comparisons to normal spinal structure where appropriate.

If we can help you, we will outline a personalized care plan, including recommended frequency of visits, progress evaluations, and straightforward pricing and financial options. We will take the time to answer your questions and explain next steps so you can make an informed decision about your care. No pressure. No rushed decisions. Just clear information and care you can feel confident about.

Step 5: Your First Adjustment: if it’s appropriate and you’re comfortable, you may receive your first gentle adjustment during this visit. If additional assessment is needed, we’ll talk through next steps and schedule follow-up care accordingly.

Step 6: Book Your First Appointment: Once you decide to begin care, we will schedule your upcoming visits based on your recommended plan. Our team will help find appointment times that fit your schedule and keep your care consistent. When care begins, a typical visit takes only a few minutes. Although the adjustment itself doesn’t require much time, its effects are profound, it allows your body to begin the healing process. Some patients may also receive corrective exercises to support their care and improve long-term results.

Your New Patient Forms

To help make your first visit as smooth as possible, we ask new patients to complete a short intake form before their exam. These forms cover your health history, current concerns, and any previous care, giving Dr. Glenn and Dr. Adam a clear understanding of how to best support you.

You can download and print the forms ahead of time or complete them online, whatever works best for you. If you're unable to complete the paperwork in advance, please arrive 20 minutes early to fill it out in the office

Frequently Asked Questions

What is chiropractic care, and how does it work?

Chiropractic care is a non-invasive healthcare practice that focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of neuromuscular disorders, with a particular emphasis on spinal adjustments and manipulations. Chiropractors believe that misalignments of the spine can cause a variety of health problems by interfering with the nervous system. By using a variety of techniques, including adjustments and other therapies, chiropractors aim to alleviate pain, restore mobility, and promote overall wellness.

What conditions can chiropractic care treat?

Chiropractic care can be effective in treating a variety of musculoskeletal conditions, including back pain, neck pain, headaches, sciatica, carpal tunnel syndrome, and sports injuries. Additionally, chiropractic care may help with other health issues, such as digestive problems, asthma, and allergies. Your chiropractor will perform an evaluation and determine if chiropractic care is appropriate for your condition.

What should I expect during my first chiropractic visit?

At your first visit, we will do a thorough health history to fully understand the source of your health concerns. Afterward, a thorough spinal examination will be performed to determine any abnormal postural, alignment and/or movement patterns that may be impacting your nervous system and subsequent organ function. Further imaging may be required at this point in order to provide a more complete and in-depth picture of your health. After the examination, we review the results of this at a Doctor's Report where the Doctor will go through an adjustment schedule along with the financial investment.

Is chiropractic care safe and does it hurt?

Chiropractic care is widely recognized as a safe, non-invasive approach to spinal and musculoskeletal health when provided by a licensed chiropractor. At In Line Family Chiropractic, safety is always our priority. We perform thorough assessments, communicate clearly, and choose techniques appropriate for your age, comfort level, and individual needs.

Most adjustments are gentle and comfortable. Some patients may experience mild soreness afterward, similar to what you might feel after physical activity, which typically resolves quickly. We always tailor care to your body and your comfort, and will explain each step before we begin.

How long will I need to see a chiropractor?

Some people believe chiropractic care is only needed until pain is gone. At ILFC, we see chiropractic care as part of a healthy lifestyle. Your body and spine require ongoing care, much like your teeth, your car, or your garden. You wouldn’t stop brushing your teeth once they feel clean, skip oil changes for your car, or stop tending a garden once it looks good. Without consistent care, problems eventually return.

Similarly, maintaining spinal health and nervous system function is an ongoing process. Just as regular exercise and healthy eating support your overall wellness, chiropractic care helps support your body’s ability to function at its best over time. We’ll always make recommendations based on your goals, your progress, and what’s appropriate for your body.
